What We Believe

All Nations Church Phuket is an independent, non-denominational Protestant Church.  As believers of a Christian Church there are certain beliefs that are unwavering to us as a community of faith.

  1. We believe in the Triune God.  God is one being who is expressed in three distinct persons, namely, God, the Father, God, the Son, Jesus Christ and God, the Holy Spirit.  (Isaiah 44:6; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19)
  1. We believe in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.  The Bible is the Word of God and without error in its original form.  It reveals who God is and His plans and purposes for our lives. (Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20; Psalms 119:105)
  1. We believe that God created humankind, man and woman, in His original image as pure and faultless.  Sin entered the world through humankind’s disobedience and resulted in all peoples having a sinful nature/condition and thereby separated from God and in need of salvation and transformation.  (Genesis 1:26; Romans 5:12; Isaiah 59:2; Romans 6:23)
  1. We believe God provided the necessary salvation from sin and its consequences by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ to live on this earth and die on a cross in our place.  His death and subsequent resurrection was more than sufficient to redeem us from our bondage to sin and all its consequences.  (John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 8:3-4; Titus 2:13-14)
  1. We believe that we receive this salvation when we choose to turn from our sinful lifestyle (to repent) and instead choose to believe (have faith) in the person and work of Jesus Christ and follow Him all the rest of our days.  This salvation is a free gift from God, it cannot be obtained through self-improvement or good deeds.  (Acts 3:19; Acts 16:31; John 3:36; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:3-7)
  1. We believe in God, the Holy Spirit who lives inside of every saved person in a spiritual, yet very real way.  The Holy Spirit’s presence and power helps transform us into the kind of people that God desires us to be and gives us the power to serve God with effectiveness (Romans 8:9-11; Galatians 5:16-25; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Acts 1:8)
  1. We believe the Church is the tangible expression of the body of Christ, both universally and locally.  The Church is made up of all peoples who have received salvation from their sins by faith. The Church’s primary purpose is to be active in extending the kingdom of God on earth by telling of the gospel and the love of God in both word and action. (Ephesians 1:22-23; Ephesians 2:19-22; Matthew 28:18-20 and 1 Corinthians 12)
  1. We believe that one day, Jesus Christ will return to earth in a visible way.  His imminent return is what gives believers hope for life in the present hardships as well as the future glory that awaits. Those who have chosen to put their faith in Christ will spend eternity in a real place, called heaven; while those who do not receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, will spend eternity in a real place called hell.  (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Titus 2:11-14, Romans 8:17; Philippians 3:21; Luke 16:19-31)
